Charles Schorr

Charles William Schorr, age 93 of Marion , passed away on April10th, 2018 at the Dewolfe Place in Marion, Ohio. Charles was born February 23, 1925 in Prospect, Ohio to the late Hartman and Elsie (Green) Schorr. He married Evelyn Hunt, October 7, 1948, they were wed for over 53 years and she preceded him in 2004. Charles retired from Whirlpool in Marion after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ and was a member of the National Bowling League. In his free time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, camping and spending time with his family. He was also well known for his garage projects, that he should have had patented. Charles leaves behind his children, Ron (Patty) Schorr of Marysville and Vicki (Barry) Noyes of Morral. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Lynn Schorr , wife of his late son David. Grandchildren, Ryan, Erica, Jeff, Kevin, Michael and Tim, great grandchildren, Oliver, Malania, Maxim, Lucy, Ellen, Blake, Kasey, Austin, Sophie and Emry. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, oldest son, David and four brothers. Funeral Services for Charles will be held at 1:30 Monday, April 16th at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor Sean McLeod officiating. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Teaching Teen Bowling Fund through Blue Fusion.
