Christopher "Chris" Robin Sidders

May 4, 1974 — January 23, 2025

Christopher "Chris" Robin Sidders, age 50, a beloved father, brother, son and friend, departed this world on January 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and a love for life that touched all who knew him. Born on May 4, 1974 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, as the son of Roger and Cindy (Wyatt) Sidders, who survive him at home. Chris's spirit was as vibrant and colorful as the tie dye he wore, the tattoos he designed, and his laughter resonated like the timeless chords of his favorite music.

Chris dedicated many years to a fulfilling career in construction, where he lent his talents to Debarr Framing  and Trimming before his accident forced him to leave. Known for his steadfast work ethic and attention to detail, he earned respect and admiration from his peers, leaving an indelible mark on the projects he undertook. His commitment to his work mirrored the dedication he showed in all aspects of his life.

A culinary enthusiast at heart, Chris found joy in the kitchen. He took pride in cooking Italian dishes, dazzling friends and family with his legendary lasagna, which, true to his spicy personality, was always seasoned with a bit of heat. His green thumb was equally impressive as he grew his own hot peppers, a testament to his love of flavors and his ability to nurture life in every form.

Outdoors was where he felt most alive. Whether he was fishing along a tranquil stream, hunting for arrowheads, driving or washing one of his many cars, taking a walk or foraging mushrooms, Chris embraced nature with open arms. His love for animals, particularly dogs, inspired him to work with dog training programs, reflecting his innate kindness and patience. He was more than just a dog trainer; he was a guardian for the furry companions that brought so much joy into his life.

Chris's artistic side flourished in his drawing and tattoo design. He crafted pieces that told stories and celebrated life, each design infused with purpose and passion. Music played a significant role in his life as well, with rock bands like The Grateful Dead, Guns N' Roses, and Pink Floyd providing the soundtrack to his many adventures and deepest moments of self reflection.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jessica (Rod) Boyd, and his son, Evan Sidders, and two grandchildren all of whom carry forward his spirit of compassion, creativity and forgiveness. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his baby brother, Daniel Sidders, his little sister Samantha Sidders, niece Mackenzie Sidders, his "fur-niece" Angel, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends,  who will forever hold dear the memories that brought joy and laughter into their lives.

Chris lived a life rich with love, laughter, and passion. His personal struggles were a testament to his strength and resilience. His presence will be profoundly missed by all whom loved him. The warmth of his spirit and the memories of shared moments will inspire and uplift all those who had the privilege to know him. As we celebrate his life, let us continue to carry forth his legacy of kindness, creativity, and love for the world around us.

A Celebration of Life for Chris will be held at a later date.
