Connie Jean Malone

Connie Jean Malone, age 65, of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, March 10th, 2023 at her daughter’s residence. Connie was born in Marion, Ohio, April 14,1957 as the daughter of the late Darrell and Dorothy (Donaugh) Simpkins. She married Ronald Malone July 5th, 1986 in Marion, Ohio and he preceded her in death March 13, 2015. Connie was a 1975 graduate of Marion Harding High School and was a member of the APEX Church in Marion, Ohio.  Connie worked as a Home Health Care Aid for over 35 years for American Nursing and several other companies.  Connie loved camping and being outdoors. Her favorite campsite was at Sunset Springs.  They had been camping there since 1994. Connie loved music and was a big OSU football and basketball fan. Most of all, Connie loved her family. She attended as many of her grandchildren’s and nieces and nephews school functions as she could. Connie was the “glue” of the family and her absence will be greatly felt. Connie will be missed by her children, Bobbie Jo Rice and Jamie (Julie Dendinger) Simpkins, grandchildren, Leandra (Connor), Josh (Brittany), Seth, Nathan, Sammy, Kaylee and Connie, great grandchildren, Ariana and Bentley and sister Arleen (Steven) Martin. Connie was preceded in death by her sons, Denver and Ronald II. Friends may call from 12:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 15th at the Lee Street Presbyterian Church in Marion, Ohio. Service will follow at 2:00 PM with her nephew Pastor Jeff Cox officiating. Graveside service will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
