Dale Hedrick

Dale E. "Bud" Hedrick age 86 of Climax passed away Friday morning Feb 13th 2015 at home. Bud was born on July 31st 1928 in Climax, Ohio as the son of the late Edward Dale & Margaret E. (Garverick) Hedrick . He was a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was carpenter by trade and had worked for the Mt. Gilead Lumber Company, George Straight Construction and L & K Restaurants in the maintenance section. Bud was a noted wood carver and cabinet maker. On November 06th, 1948 he married the former Virginia R. Young and she survives him at home. He is also survived by his three sons, Michael L. (Susan) Hedrick of Climax, Tracy Dale Hedrick of Wake Forest, NC, and Peter Travis Hedrick of Climax. His daughter is Peggy (Mike) Zaebst of Lewisburg, NC. His grandchildren are; Joel T Hedrick, Ivy Leigh Jones, Clayton Michael Hedrick, Matthew E. A. Zaebst, Michael B. Zaebst and Madison Grace Hedrick and Cody Alexander Hedrick. His great grandchildren are; Ethan Isaac Hedrick, Gabriel Nathan Hedrick, Colt Peacemaker Hedrick, India Leana Jones, Asia Kathleen Jones, Eliot K. Jones, Jasmine Marie Zaebst, Michael Tre'Anthony Zaebst, Christian Slade Zaebst. He also leaves behind three sisters, Betty Runge of Galion, Marie Foster of Climax and Mary Ellen DeWitt of Galion. He was preceded in death by one brother and Two sisters. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon February 15th at 3:00 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor David J. Smith officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Denmark United Methodist Church..
