Donald Butz

Donald E. Butz, age 88 of Caledonia passed away Tuesday afternoon November 15th, 2016. Don was born in Marion, Ohio as the son of Floyd E and Anna Gladys (Brothers) Butz. He was a life time resident of Morrow County Ohio and the Caledonia area. In 1948 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Bitburg AB, Germany, where he met Margarete Willer. They married in Martel on November 7th, 1956. She preceded him in death on October 28th, 2003. Don was a farmer and skilled carpenter who founded Caledonia Grain & Supply in 1963. He also worked at Clark Metal Products and then worked for 25 years for Whirlpool Corporation and retired as a press operator. He is survived by his son Gregory of Benton, Kentucky and 10 Grand children. He was preceded in death by his four other sons, Donald Jr., Michael, Chris & John.He is also a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his son Gregory of Benton, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his four other sons, Donald Jr, Michael, Chris & John. A graveside service will be held at Caledonia Cemetery at 10:30, May 20th.
