Donna Mae Valentine

Donna Mae Valentine, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2024. She was born on December 28, 1933, in Marion, Ohio to the late George and Pearl (Fosnaugh) Johnson. She married the love of her life Charles Valentine September 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2012. Donna dedicated many years of her life to North Electric  in Galion, where she worked with printed circuit boards. However, her true passions lay outside of work. She found joy in flower gardening, camping, and fishing at East Harbor State Park. Donna also cherished moments spent painting ceramics with her sisters, indulging in shopping sprees, and traveling with her family. Up until her final days, singing brought Donna great comfort.

Among Donna's proudest accomplishments was her skill in the kitchen. Renowned for her delectable pies, she was admired for her culinary talents by all who knew her. Donna will be fondly remembered by her surviving family: daughter Lori (Ken) Shuster; grandchildren Clint, Bob, Chad, Rob, Kayla, Kenny, and Kelly; thirteen great grandchildren and multiple great great grandchildren, as well as brothers Robert, Milton, James and Ivan Johnson; sisters Ruth Thacker, Leatha Mahaffey, Laura Underwood and daughter-in-law Pamela Valentine. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents George and Pearl Johnson; brothers;  Dan and George Johnson; sister Mary McKee; daughter Cynthia (Valentine) Albright, sons; George and Robert Valentine.

A Visitation to celebrate Donna's life will be held on August 1st, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Timson & Melroy in Caledonia. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 with Pastor Daniel Turner officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to the Community Christian Church, 6195 St. Rt. 19, Galion, Ohio 44833.

Donna Mae Valentine's warm smile and kind spirit touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
