Earl Hunley, age 84 formerly of Martel, passed away Friday morning April 3rd, 2009 at Community Healthcare Center in Marion. Earl was born December 10th, 1924 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Pete & Armidia (Jenkins) Hunley. On April 25th, 1945 he married Alene Borders in Salyersville. She preceded him in death on May 16th, 1973. Earl was employed as a shipping & receiving clerk at Clark Metal Products in Marion for 35 years. He was well known as a breeder and trainer of Beagles. He was a member of the American Kennel Club. He also enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting. He will be remembered by his neighbors for his generous gifts of vegetables he grew in his garden. Earl's memory will be cherished by his daughter Judy Blanton of Marion; his seven grandchildren; Chuck Blanton, Mike (Nikki) Blanton, Kim (Mike) Green, Tracy (Bud) Johnson, Michelle (Kevin) Ferguson, Vickie (Mike) Axline & Shiaz Nicholas. There are fifteen great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his special friend Ann Wojteck. He was preceded in death by two daughters; Faye Reed & Teresa Nicholas, Three brothers and four sisters Funeral services will be conducted on Monday April 6th, 2009 at 1:00 P. M. in the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Rev. Grover Caudill officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home in Caledonia for two hours prior to the time of the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. �
