Eileen is also survived by brothers and sisters: Vivian and Gerald Wyen, of Tipp City; Bonita Seger, of Greenville; Richard Kremer, of Versailles; Diana & Ken Bohman, of Versailles, and in-laws: Gene Brunswick, of Coldwater; Charles Broering, of Versailles; Doris Kremer, of Frenchtown. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Jeanette Brunswick, Alice Broering, Mark Kremer and brother-in-law Ralph Seger.
Eileen was born on August 10th, 1948 in Greenville, OH to Sebastian & Martha (Benanzer) Kremer. She married Carl Hess in Frenchtown, OH on October 16th, 1971 and she was a member of Sacred Hearts' Catholic Church, in Cardington. She was a 1966 graduate of Versailles High School, a lifelong public servant and worked for River Valley elementary schools starting as a crossing guard and progressing to a teacher's aide. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, bunco nights with her friends, traveling to state capitals with her husband and you could always find her on the first base line of RV baseball games when her son coached.
Eileen was a bit of a seamstress, and those who were lucky enough will have one of the many afghans she crocheted. While she always liked her sandwiches plain, she lived her life to the fullest. Eileen was a selfless person who went out of her way to make sure her family and friends were comfortable and taken care of until the end.
Visitation for Eileen will be held on April 28th from 6-9 P.M. at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home. Rosary Service will be at 8:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be on April 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Hearts' Catholic Church in Cardington with Father Kyle Tennant officiating. Interment to follow in Caledonia Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eileen's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio at 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215 or www.alz.org/centralohio/donate.
