Erlene Navarro

Erlene Mae Navarro, age 98, of Sycamore, passed away on Tuesday December 27th 2016 at her home. She was born in McCutchenville as the daughter of Lloyd & Ida Mae Kenner. Erlene was a graduate of McCutchenville High School. She was married to Joseph V. Navarro until his death in 1990. Erlene was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for many years at Fostoria City Hospital. She was a member of the Fostoria Retired Nurses Association. In her free time she enjoyed taking casino trip to Canada and Iowa and was a fanatical housekeeper. She loved her home and her family most of all. Erlene is survived by her son Robert Navarro of Caledonia, Ohio and her daughter Kaye Gerstenmaier of Cincinnati. She also leaves behind her stepson Richard Navarro of Detroit. There are also four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Kate Keener of Fostoria. She was preceded in death by two brothers. A private graveside service will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery at Sycamore at a later date. The Navarro family is being assisted by the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia.
