Flora "Flo" Maple Gray

Flora “Flo” Maple Gray age 92, of Marion, Ohio passed away September 19th, 2023 at The Wyndmoor in Marion. Flo was born February 21st, 1931 in Westfield, Ohio as the daughter of the late Mannas and Caroline (Roth) Boger. Flo married Charles Gray December 31st, 1953 in Marion, Ohio and he preceded her in death February 18th, 1995. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School. Flo retired from B. F. Goodrich/Parker in 1993 where she was a braider operator. Flo was a member of the Moose Lodge #889 in Marion, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 401 and a former member of the Vera Chapter #64 Order of the Eastern Star. In her later years, Flo enjoyed crocheting and reading. Watching her favorite T.V. show, “Gunsmoke” and rooting on her beloved Buckeyes and Indians. She was a big fan. She had a special bond with her caregiver Julia at the Wyndmoor and Julia’s furkid Duke that she brought over to visit with Flo when she was at home. Flo affectionately renamed them both to Julie and Beau for reasons only known to Flo. Neither minded. Most of all, Flo loved her family and grandchildren. Flo will be missed by her daughters, Dana (Rob Marshall) Kazee and Kim (Bill) Berry, grandchildren; Jennifer, Cindy, Tara and Kandace, great grandchildren; Nathaniel, Kassandra, Jason, Tyavia, Layla, Blake, Jeppy, Brynn, Breauna and Payton, great great grandchildren; De’angelo, Symere and Graham, sister Maxine Cover and brother-in-law George (Sharon) Gray. Flo is preceded in death by her daughter Diana Rosenberger, sisters; Jane Haycook, Margaret Brandes and Mildred Shoemaker, brothers; Lowell, Robert, Leroy, Walter, Donald, Ralph, John and Carl Boger. Graveside services for Flo will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 11:00 A.M. in Caledonia Cemetery with Mark Melroy officiating. Friends and family are asked to dress casual or sport their OSU or Indians attire. There will be a luncheon following the graveside service at the American Legion in Waldo.
