Flora Large

Flora N. Large, age 94 of 3318 Caledonia Northern Rd. Caledonia, went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, May 9th, 2009 in Community Healthcare Center Marion. She was born November 13th, 1914 in Tom's Creek Virginia, the daughter of the late George K. & Nannie (Rutter) Minnick. In 1935 she married Kermit Large. He preceded her in death in 1966. Flora and Kermit moved to Lakeland Florida in 1962 and she remained in that vicinity until 2007 when she returned to Caledonia to reside with her daughter Anna. Flora was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Lakeland. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Anna & Jesse Mowry of Caledonia, Her grandchildren; Maxie L. Mowry, Julie Mowry, Karen & Erick Baer, Nola Jean & Calvin Eblin. Eleven Great Grandchildren, one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sixteen brothers and sisters and her two daughters: Nada June Large & Barbara Barrett. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday May 13th 2009 at 3:00 P. M. in Caledonia Cemetery with Rev. Terry Cudd officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home of Caledonia.
