Ganelle Ettinger

Ganelle Ettinger, age 97 of Martel passed away early Thursday morning August 11th in Galion Community Hospital . She was born in Martel February 11th 1914 as the daughter of the late Arthur L. & Estella (Hershner) Goldsmith. She was a graduate of Martel High School and worked for many years at Galion Community Hospital in the Laundry and Housekeeping. In her free time she enjoy gardening with flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed doing crafts and loved to eat out. She was a member of Martel United Methodist Church. On February 11th 1936 she married Robert T. Ettinger. He preceded her in death on February 11th, 1965. She is survived by her son Tom Ettinger of Martel and her daughter Annetta Blankenship, also of Martel. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Funeral services for Ganelle will be held on Monday, August 15th, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home with Pastor Yvonne Hechler officiating. Interment will follow in Iberia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 5. Memorial contributions may be made to the Martel United Methodist Church.
