Hazel Shuey

Hazel Mae Shuey, age 86 of the Caledonia area passed away Sunday morning July 10th at home. She was born in Morrow County on June 18th, 1925 as the daughter of Harley and Mae (Rogers) Shuey, She was a 1943 graduate of Claridon High School and the Marion Business College. Hazel was employed by General Telephone for 33 years and retired in 1985. She was Faithful member of Marion Salem United Methodist Church. Hazel always enjoyed playing golf, she was a blood donor for the American Red , having given several gallons in her lifetime. She was a caregiver for Pilot Dogs after they were retired from service and she enjoyed Country Music at the local fairs and festivals. Hazel his survived by her friends and caregivers Stanley & Deborah Croft where she had had made her home in recent years. A Graveside service will be held for Hazel on Tuesday morning July 12th, in Salem Cemetery at 10:30 with Pastor Jared Williams officiating . Calling Hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilot Dogs or Marion Salem United Methodist Church.
