Howard F. Hildreth, age 76 of Caledonia passed away Tuesday evening October 29th, at his residence. He was born August 20th, 1937 in Marion, OH as the son of James Logan & Hulda Anna (Creasap) Hildreth. He was a graduate of Caledonia High School. Howard worked as a farmer, was a very skilled woodworker and loved doing tractor restorations, especially John Deere. He was active with the Creasap Society, Ohio 2 Cylinder Club and was an active member of the Canaan United Methodist Church. On August 31st, 1963 he married the former Judith A. Scheffler. She survives him at home. He is also survived by his children Jay (Lou) Hildreth of Caledonia, Jennie (Bill) Wilson of Marion, Nathaniel (Josette) Hildreth of Caledonia, four grandchildren Ashton, Cody, Kendra and Lauren, sister Marge Weston of Marion, two sisters-in-law Diane Hildreth of Caledonia and Janiece Hildreth of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond, Donald, Carl and Virgil, two grandchildren Chad and Mallory. Funeral Services will be conducted by Revs. Matt Skelton and Tom Orr November 4th, 2013 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home at 11:00 A. M. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 - 5 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Consolidated Fire Department or the March of Dimes.
