James M. Hause
James M. Hause age 86 of Caledonia passed away Monday afternoon June 2nd, 2008 in Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion Jim was born July 13th, 1921 in Frankfort, Ohio the son of the late John F & Ada B, (Hopper) Hause. On April 26th, 1947 Jim married the former Anna Sophie Kovach. She preceded him in death on July 18th, 2000. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After moving to Caledonia in 1956 he was self-employed as a Tavern Keeper. He built the Caledonia Bar & Restaurant on 309 which He and Sophie operated for many years. Jim was a skilled craftsman with a sawmill. He constructed several of his homes and actually cut the material he used in their construction with his mill. He was still planning to build a log cabin when his health began to fail him. He loved to fish on Lake Erie and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the Caledonia Gun Club. Jim is survived by his nephew and five nieces.
He is also survived by his adopted daughter Terry (Bob) Wylie and his grandson Brandon
(Julie) McClure of Caledonia. He will also be missed by their special family friend Linda Millington. Graveside Services for James M. Hause will be conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Council on Friday, June 6th, 2008 at 1:00 P. M. in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday June 4th at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home from 6 - 8. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
