James Perry

James Preston Perry age 60 of Marion passed away Tuesday morning May 14th 2013 in Columbus. . He was born September 28th, 1952 in Imboden VA as the son of the late James William & Etta (Adkins) Perry. James was an Army veteran serving in Europe. He married the former Precilla Katherine Potter on April 8th, 1972 in Wise, VA. James attended the Mayes Temple in Marion and was a member of the American Red Cross. He worked most of his life as a truck driver. James is survived by his wife Precilla, daughter Celeste (Scott) Emmons, son James Preston Perry II, daughter Dawn (David) Haines, grandchildren Kimberly Emmons, Shadow Currington, Scottie Emmons, Lauren Perry, James Perry III, Akasha Perry, sisters Betty King, Martha (Cody) Mullins, Peggy (James) Dishman, brother Thomas Baker, in laws Betty Potter Paxton, Patricia (Paul) Bale, John (Bonnie) Potter, many nieces and nephews. Graveside services for James Perry will be conducted by the Marion Veteran's Council in Claridon Cemetery at 1:00 P. M. Friday May 17th, 2013. At the Family's request, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home.
