John F. "Jack" Howlett, age 85 of Caledonia, passed away Thursday morning October 01st, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Jack was born in Cameron County, PA on November 05th, 1929 as the son of the late Calvin & Lucille (Berry) Howlett. On April 16th, 1949 he married Aletha C. Britton - Howlett. She preceded him in death October 4th, 2002. Jack was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a welder for Fairfield Engineering in Marion. Jack was an avid Bow Hunter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He traveled throughout the United States, Canada and Alaska with his family. He will be remembered as "Jack The Harmonica Man" by his family and friends. His family was always important to him and they will miss him dearly. He leaves behind his children, Craig Howlett of Caledonia, Brenda Rife of Caledonia and Wanda Ferrier of Richwood. He will also be remembered by his nine grandchildren, sixteen great grand children and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother. Memorial Services for Jack Howlett will be held on Tuesday October 6th, 2015 at 7:00 P. M. at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor Pam Lamb - Hart officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice.
