Judith "Judy" Elaine Ulsh

Judith "Judy" Elaine Ulsh, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 2, 1941, in Bucyrus, Ohio,as the daughter of the late Ted and Sara "Betty" (Lady) Ulsh. Judy lived a life rich in love, laughter, and cherished memories. A proud graduate of the Class of 1958 from Nevada High School, Judy demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her community and her family throughout her life. She married the love of her life, James Ulsh October 17th, 1959 in Wyandot, Ohio and he preceded her in death Aug. 17th, 1975. For 25 years, she dedicated herself to the role of Secretary at River Valley Schools, where her kindness and organizational skills made a significant mark. Her retirement was well-deserved, but her heart continued to flourish through her many passions.

Judy was a vibrant soul who loved antiques, devoting over 40 years to collecting and selling precious pieces that told stories of the past. A talented crocheter, she found joy not only in creating but also in sharing her crafts with others. An adventurous spirit, she traveled extensively, visiting all 50 states and numerous countries across the globe, cherishing the memories created on her journeys and enjoying the beauty of the world around her. Judy had a special fondness for cruising, where the warm ocean breezes matched her warm heart. Her hobbies went beyond travel; in her youth, she was a championship bowler and had a great love for riding horses, capturing the hearts of all who knew her. Judy's love for family was profound, and she held dear the many friendships she cultivated throughout her life.

Judy's commitment to her community was evident through her active membership in the Caledonia Memorial Methodist Church, where she found solace and connection. She also took pride in being a devoted member of Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters for over 50 years, demonstrating her dedication to service and sisterhood. Her participation in the Caledonia Seniors exemplified her spirited approach to life.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jay Ulsh and Jeff (Lori) Ulsh, siblings, Jim (Sharon) Jury and Bonnie Williams, grandchildren; Leo, Rowan, Trevor, Ricardo and Joe, nieces and nephews and her furkids Buddy and Buster. Judy's presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her will be deeply missed. Her infectious smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were touched by her warmth.

Visitation will take place on March 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home, followed by an Eastern Star service at 1:00 PM. Funeral service will begin at 1:15 with Pastor Terry Burkhardt officiating. Burial to follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Her family invites all who knew her to celebrate her extraordinary life.

As we bid farewell to Judy, let us cherish the memories and the light she brought into our lives. Her journey may have come to an end, but her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.
