Kevin Richard Wyatt

Kevin Richard Wyatt, age 56, of Cardington passed away on Saturday April 1, 2023 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.  Kevin was born on Thursday October 20, 1966 in Delaware, Ohio.  Son of James and Barbara (Hysell) Wyatt.

Kevin was a graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School class of 1986 and also of Tri-Rivers Career Center Masonry program.  After graduation Kevin met the love of his life Carla Moore whom he married in Ashley, Ohio.  Together they had a son, Kevin “Jay” Wyatt Jr., and spent many years together until Carla went on to prepare their Heavenly home on May 21, 2002.

Kevin enjoyed everything outdoors.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to spend time in nature.  He enjoyed camping and canoeing with family and friends, but above all Kevin enjoyed any time spent with his family.

Kevin owned Wyatt Restoration with his brother Roy Wyatt.  Together they would restore old brick homes before becoming maintenance at Recreation Unlimited where he spent the past 20 years.  He enjoyed working with the children at the camp and always looked forward to his job.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his son Kevin “Jay” Wyatt Jr.; sisters Cindy (Roger) Sidders, Francis (Charles) Robinson, Becky (Donald) Justice, Teressa (Mike) Sines, June (Ron) Mitchell, and Mary (Bob) Justice; brother Roy Wyatt, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Kevin was proceeded in death by his parents, loving wife Carla Wyatt, brothers James (Lisha) Wyatt, Scott Wyatt, and sister in-law Amy Wyatt.

Friends may call from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday April 6, 2023 at the Timson & Melroy Funeral Home where funeral services will follow with Pastor Brad Dunkin officiating.  Burial will follow at Westfield Cemetery.
