Linda Annette Hunt, age 74 of Caledonia, passed away Monday evening April 16th, 2012 in Marion General Hospital after an extended illness. Linda was born February 2nd, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio as the daughter of the late William & Grace (Craycraft) Myers. Linda was a 1956 graduate of Portsmouth High School. Shortly after graduation On June 30th, 1956 she married Robert N. Hunt. He preceded her in death on February 5th, 2004. Linda was a cook in the River Valley Schools cafeterias for 28 years. She was a faithful member of the Caledonia Church of Christ and was there whenever the doors were open. Most times she was actually there to open the door for everyone else. The church and her family were the center of Linda's life. Her memory will be cherished by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Patricia Hunt of Caledonia, her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl & Dale Gray of Caledonia and Sharon & Brad Brady of Marion. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren; Heather Ricker, Kyle Hunt, Ashton Hildreth, Brad Brady and Brendon Gray and her two great grandchildren Reese Hunt and Addison Ricker. She will continue to live on in the memory of her brother Willard Myers of Alabama and her two sisters Virginia Nourse of Portsmouth and Janet Warner of Wheelersburg , Ohio She will be sorely missed by her life-long friend Shirley Baer. Linda will welcomed to the homecoming in Heaven by her parents, her husband Bob, her seven sisters, two brothers and her special angel her granddaughter Mallory.
Funeral Services for Linda will be held at 10:00 on Saturday April 21st , 2012 in the Caledonia Church of Christ with Kenneth Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia where the family will receive them from 6 - 8 on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caledonia Church of Christ.
