Mary Ann Gist-Ketchmark

Mary Ann Gist-Ketchmark, age 84, of Williamsburg, VA,  formerly of Caledonia, passed away February 19th, 2025 at her residence. Mary Ann was born in Marion, Ohio July 19, 1940 as the daughter of the late Virgil and Doris (Maynard) Gist. She married Captain Jerry Ketchmark in 2011 and he survives her at home.

Mary Ann owned several successful businesses over the years. Her last business she was the proud owner of "The Legacy" a prominent bed and breakfast in historical Williamsburg. Beyond her professional achievement, she was the mother of two sons, Jeff (Shawn) Detwiler, and Tracey (Lori) Detwiler, two grandchildren, Broc and Ashley Detwiler and great grandchildren. She also shared close bonds with her siblings, Ronnie (Carol) Gist and Mike (Kathy) Gist. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother Lanny Gist.

A dedicated sports fan she passionately supported the OSU buckeyes and Kansas City Chiefs often anxiously awaiting kickoff with a glass of wine. Mary Ann and her husband loved to feed the squirrels, including her beloved pet squirrel named Rocky. Mary Ann had precious and dedicated friends who often took her shopping, lunch, gathered her mail and kept in touch when they moved away.

Visitation will be held on March 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service commencing at 1:00 PM at Timson & Melroy, located at 407 S. Main St., Caledonia, OH 43314 with Pastor Sean McCleod officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
