Nelson Melvina "Vine" Painter

Nelson Melvina “Vine” Painter, age 81 of Bellville, Ohio passed away December 30th, 2021 at her residence. Vine was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky, January 1^st, 1940 as the daughter of the late Nelson and Mary (Zorns) Lawhun. Vine married the love of her life, Henry Painter and he survives her at home. In her younger years, Vine worked at Whirlpool on the dryer line for over 10 years and spent the rest of her life caring for her family at home. Family was very important to her and she loved everyone dearly. Vine enjoyed going to yard and garage sales, looking for nothing in particular. She loved to watch old westerns on the television, visiting with her siblings and working in her vegetable garden. Vine will be missed by her children, Raymond (Jackie) Jackson, Rick (Terry) Jackson, Timothy Painter, Nikkie (Charles) Hamm, Tina (Ernest) Hamm,  nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, brothers, Lawrence, Eugene and Steve Lawhun and Samuel Timothy Lawhun, sisters,  Maxine Lawhun-McFarland and Kay Morrison. And her furkid Buster.  Vine is preceded in death her brothers, Sam, Bill, James and Everett and sister, Iona. In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private family graveside service in Caledonia Cemetery.
