Paul Showers

Paul Francis Showers age 93, of Caledonia passed away on Wednesday morning November 24th 2010 at home. He was born August 21st 1917 Marion the son of the late Francis and Orpha Viola (Seckel) Showers. Paul graduated from the Marion Harding High School. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and the Bob Williams Sunday School Class. He also held memberships in the Farm Bureau and the United Grange. Paul spent most of his adult life as a dairy farmer and had worked in Earl Seckel's Grocery Store in Caledonia earlier in his life. Paul was known for being able to fix anything and a hard worker. He loved to around his family and grandchildren. On May 18th, 1945 Paul married Eleanor Grant and she survives him at home. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Jean Ann Fisher and his grandchildren Jonathon Lee Cass of Caledonia, Kara (Joshua) Funk of Perrysburg and Mindy Susan (Timothy) Day of Lexington, KY. His great grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah & Eli Day, Lydia, Isaac, Micah & Phoebe Funk will also cherish his memory. He will also be remembered fondly by his brother Eugene Showers of Caledonia. He was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Eisele. Funeral services for Paul will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday November 29th, 2010 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Calling Hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3380 Tremont Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43221.
