Peggy Faye Hartley, age 81 of Galion and formerly of Edison passed away Friday morning May 27th, 2016 at the home of her granddaughter where she had lived for the past five years. Peggy was born February 11th, 1935 in Ashville, Ohio as the daughter of the late Charles W. & Bessie Faye (Rathburn) Nicholson. On August 24th, 1953 she married Francis M. Hartley. He preceded her in death on December 02nd, 2011. Peggy was a great cook and to that end she was employed at the Copper Kettle and the Country Girl Restaurant in Mt. Gilead over a period of time. She was also a dietician at Woodside Village Nursing Home. At home Peggy enjoyed Gardening, loved cats & dogs, taking walks and spending time with the grandchildren. Sunday Dinners were always important to her. Peggy is survived by her daughter Patricia Aston and her husband Mike from Labelle, FL. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Tracy Rank, of Galion, Michael Martin of Galion, Brian Martin of Marion and Jason Martin of Climax. Her great grandchildren are Chad Jr. & Brianna Rank, Kayla Roberts, Chelsea Roberts, Autumn Wells, Alex Wells, Heaven Martin, Tayla Martin & Tyler Martin. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joy Martin in 2006 and her grandson Stephen Wayne. Funeral Services for Peggy will be held on Tuesday May 31st at 12:00 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Pastor Ed Colgrove Officiating. Interment will follow in Iberia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the North Central Ohio Hospice, 2131 Park Ave W. Ontario, Ohio 44862.
