Richard Devore

Richard Joseph DeVore Jr, age 44 of Caledonia passed away on Tuesday evening November 9th 2010 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware. He had been in failing health about six months. He was born February 21st, 1966 in Columbus the son of the late Richard J. Devore Sr. and Marie G. (Harter) DeVore. Richard was the proprietor and operator of Miracle Kleen in Caledonia and had previously been a Corrections Officer at Marion Correctional Facility for ten years. He was an avid "Outdoors Man" enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to travel. In his lifetime he had traveled from coast to coast in the United States and had visited Canada and the Bahamas. In March of 1985 he married Renee J. Lyman in the Fairpark Baptist Church in Marion. She survives him at home. He will also be remembered by his children Jana & Scott McManus and Nicholas Maran of Marion. Four grandchildren John - Austin, Tyler & Jayden McManus and Johnathan Maran. His brothers and sisters will also cherish his memory; Darreld (Verna) Ashba, Perry (Fredia) Ashba, Ryan Devore , Roger DeVore, Linda (Dan) Brammer, Kathy Jeffers, Melinda Cantrell-Dotson, Tammy Meachem, Mary (David) Meachem & Margaret Devore. At Richard's request, his body is to be cremated and the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
