Rita Reed

Rita Clara Reed age 72 of Caledonia, passed away Saturday evening July 13th at home . She was born September 4, 1940 in Galion as the daughter of the late Anthony & Marie (Miller) Kohls. On July 2, 1960 Rita married Ralph Reed. He preceded her in death Jan 20th, 1994. Rita was a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Marion. She gave much of her time to home nursing of others but her family was the most important thing in her life. Rita is survived by her children and their spouses; Robb (Julie) Reed of Marion, Randy (Yvonne) of Troy, Rick (Dawn) of Marion, Renee (Steve) Snyder of Caledonia and Ronda (Dave) Wallace of Marion. She also leaves her grandchildren Jessica (Jacob) Page, Tyler Snyder, Tasheena, Eric, Kyle, Caleb, Eden , Saylor & Corry Reed , Ashley & Abbe Wallace . Rita is also survived by her siblings; Lawrence Kohls of Galion, Mary Yetzer of Shelby, Betty Studer of New Washington, Dorothy Beach of Galion, Bob Kohls of Indianapolis, Louise Eitzen of Minnesota, Pete Kohls of Galion, Thomas Kohls of Rochester MN, Barbara Winely of Galion and Ann DeNero of Galion. She was preceded in death by her son Rodney in April 2007 and her brother Bill Kohls in 1964. A Mass will be said by Father Thomas Buffer at St. Mary's Parish Church on Friday July 19th at 2:00. A time for sharing memories of Rita with her family will be held at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 - 9:00 P. M. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Saint Mary's Parish.
