Robert Eugene Hill

Robert Eugene Hill, age 63 of Olney, Illinois, passed away Monday afternoon December 28th in the John Cochran Veteran's Hospital in St. Louis MO. He was born March 4th, 1946 in Marion County, the son of the late Jasper & Mildred (Foos) Hill. He was a graduate of River Valley High School; attended Ohio State University at Marion and graduated from Olney Community College., Olney, Illinois. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid NasCar fan and remained a loyal Ohio State Buckeye. For most of his working career his was a customer service representative for DeKane. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Ruth Ann Burgener of Olney, his Nephew Dennis Schmidt & wife Jennifer of Concord, Virginia, Nephew Rick Schmidt & his wife Wanda of Lynchburg, Virginia, Niece Rachelle Reed & her husband Richard of Watson, Illinois. And a host of great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Harold Burgener.
Funeral Services for Robert Hill will be held on Saturday January 2, 2010 at 11:00 in the Liberty United Methodist Church in Kirkpatrick with Pastor Joseph Sopher officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery with military honors being provided by the Marion Veteran's Council. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 until time of service. Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home of Caledonia has been entrusted with arrangements.
