Robert Eugene Tubbs, of Marion, age 81, passed away July 31, 2024 at his residence. Robert a dedicated machine operator at the Huber plant for many years, until his retirement due to health conditions. Robert leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love. Robert was born on October 5,1942, in Prospect, Ohio, as the son of the late Blanche Tubbs. 

After graduating from Prospect High School, Robert married the love of his life Sharon Brannan July 21, 1962 and they just celebrated 61 years happily married. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 584 and the VFW Post #7201 in Marion, Ohio. 

Outside of work, Robert found joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing at Delaware State Park or any other spot where he could cast a line and catch 'em. Hunting for rabbit and squirrel brought him peace in the quietude of nature, as did searching for mushrooms and wild asparagus. The great outdoors called to Robert, offering solace and tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. He also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and cherished moments spent surrounded by loved ones.

In his journey through life, Robert was supported by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife Sharon (Brannan) Tubbs, his children Brian (Vicky) Tubbs and Angela (Billy) Cobb, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Robert is preceded in death by his son Jeff Tubbs and granddaughter Amber Cobb and his favorite kitty Ginger. He shared a special bond with each member of his family, finding joy in their company and creating lasting memories together.

Robert Eugene Tubbs touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and genuine nature. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that he was cherished and loved beyond measure.

Robert will be interred in Marion Cemetery with a private family service.
