Sandra MacKenzie

Sandra Sue Cochran MacKenzie, age 68 of Marion passed away June 23rd at home. She was born on September 8th, 1946 as the daughter of the late Wayne & Edna M. (Redmon) Cochran. She married Brad Mackenzie August 26, 1978 and he survives her at home. Sandra enjoyed gardening, collecting thimbles and bells from all over the world. She was a member of the Gold Wing Club and Odd Fellows Lodge No. 299 of Caledonia. She was a graduate of the State Beauty Academy in Marion and River Valley High School. Sandra worked along side Brad in his Lock Shop for many years. Sandra was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn Young. Sandra was a wonderful, caring mom that was always there no matter what and she took care of everyone, family, friends, even virtual strangers. She put everyone else's needs before her own. Sandra is survived by her children, Shellie (Mark) Montgomery of Marion, Ohio and Greg Goss of Grove City. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Johnathan (Kelsey), Josh, Jake, and Joe Montgomery, sister Janet (Jeffery) Tremain of Marion, Ohio and brother, Paul Cochran of Edison, Ohio as well as four nieces, two nephews, six great nieces and six great nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home on June 27th from 2 to 4pm. Funeral services will be conducted by the Odd Fellows Lodge #299 immediately following calling hours at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marion County Humane Society.
