Selorus F. Timson Wait

Selorus F. Wait, age 97 of Ashland, passed away Thursday morning April 1, 2010 at the Brethren Care Center in Ashland. She was born March 27th 1913 in Marion County, the daughter of David & Olive (Lindsay) Timson. On April 15th 1932 she married Walter L. Wait. He passed away on July 16th, 2002. Selorus was a 1931 graduate of Caledonia High School. She worked as a sales clerk at Hostetler's and Irwin's Office Supply Stores and The Casual Clothing Shop in Ashland. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Ashland, a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital in Ashland and a member of Vera Chapter #64 Order of the Eastern Star in Caledonia . Mrs. Wait is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David & Sandy Wait of Ashland; her daughters and sons-in-law , Patty & Harry Chandler of Columbus, Jolene & Bob Palmer of Loudonville and Marlene (Skip) & Leroy Stauffer of Ashland. 13 grandchildren , 32 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral Services for Selorus will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday April 5th at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Ashland with the Reverend John Guliano officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. in Caledonia Cemetery, Caledonia, Ohio. Friends may call at the church for one hour prior to the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church or the Brethren Care Center.
