Stephen Martin

Stephen Ray Martin, age 63 a resident of Denton, TX. and formerly of the Marion area passed away on August 15, 2014 in Denton, TX. He was born on May 25, 1951 in Marion, Ohio as the son of the late Herbert and Jennie (Showers) Martin. His mother survives him in Marion. Stephen served in the US Air Force from 1970 to 1974 and then retired from Verizon after 34 years. He is survived by four sons; Jeremy Martin and his wife, Shannon, Chad Martin, Kelly Martin and Tim Martin and his wife Cassie Morgan and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers; Larry, Randy Martin and sisters; Beverly Kreis, Marsha Snare, Rita Webber, Christine Martin, Charlotte Sepeda and Carol Bray. He was preceded in death by his brother Marvin. Funeral services for Stephen will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 August 20th at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Caledonia with Pastor Corby Blanton officiating. Interment will follow in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 until the time of service. The Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home of Caledonia is assisting the family.
