Thomas Payne

Thomas Eugene Payne Sr., age 67 passed away at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland, Ohio November 9, 2014. He was born in Galion, Ohio June 18, 1947 to the late LeRoy Payne and Opal E. (Carpenter). Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting for golf balls and spending time with his grandchildren. He married Sarah Bowen October 27, 1975, who survives. He retired after many years from Galion Ironworks. Thomas is survived by his children; Thomas (Sharlet) Payne, Theresa Whitehair, Opal Henney, Tonya Cox, Kelly Bierbaum-Payne and Tony (Megan) Payne all of Galion, 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother LeRoy (Jewel) Payne Jr. of Galion, sister; Rosalie (Roger) Bond of Galion, sister-in-law- Marjorie Payne of Galion, several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Charlie. Thomas was preceded in death by a brother Charles "Bucky" Payne, a grandson Zachary Payne and a nephew Jason Payne. Funeral services for Thomas Payne will not be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
