Wilbert F. Christman age 90, of Caledonia passed away Sunday evening, September 16th, 2012 at Partners Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Marion. He was born in Monroe County on December 31st 1921 as the son of the late Lewis E. and Anna K. (Clause) Christman . He was married to Rilla Rigdon Christman on October 17th, 1954 and she survives him at home Wilbert was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Normandy Landing, Rhineland and Ardennes Campaigns in Europe during World War II. After the war he worked for many years at Swan Hose in Bucyrus. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside and spending time with his grandkids. Wilbert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Franklin and Amy Christman of Ashville, Ohio and his Daughter Alluramay Deusenberry of Columbus. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Crystal Deusenberry, Ray Deusenberry and April Lambright. He is also survived by his two brothers Edward Christman of Bolivar and Robert Christman of Bucyrus. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Thurman, Delmar, Lawrence and Earnest Christman and his two sisters, Celesta Welty and Louise Bower, Military Graveside services will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Council at 1:00 on Thursday in Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia on Thursday from 11:00 until 12:45. In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to Heartland Hospice or Hospice of Pickaway County.
