William "Bill" Francis Faulkner

William "Bill" Francis Faulkner, age 86, passed away peacefully from this life on November 1, 2024, at Legacy of Marion. He was born March 12th, 1938 in Ironton, Ohio as the son of the late Marion Francis and Mary (Primm) Faulkner. He married the love of his life Doris Jenkins in Ironton, Ohio November 17th, 1963 and preceded him in death February 11, 2014. 

Bill retired from Marion Power Shovel, where he skillfully worked as a welder, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship. A man of many interests, he found joy in various pursuits that brought him closer to his loved ones and community. Bill was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing at the Marseilles Reservoir. He was especially fond of visiting car shows, where he could engage with fellow enthusiasts and share his love for automobiles. Additionally, Bill cherished listening to classic country music, often referring to it as the "good stuff," which resonated deeply with his nostalgic spirit.

Known for his friendly demeanor, Bill loved talking with people and making new friends, which endeared him to many in his community. He was a dedicated member of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International for over 20 years and found solace and community support at Marion Enterprise Baptist Church.

Bill's greatest pride and joy were his family. He is survived by his beloved children: Sandy Jones, Debbie (Richard) Turner Mark (Gina) Faulkner, and Michael (Kim) Faulkner, 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.. His legacy will continue through them and their cherished memories of him.

Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Edgar, sisters, Juanita and Emogene, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who will greet him with open arms.

Visitation to honor Bill's life will be held on November 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Timson & Melroy located at 407 S. Main St, Caledonia, OH. This will be followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor James McIntire officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery.
